Our client, a leading West End based Financial Advisory firm, is looking for a permanent Receptionist to join the support team (*please note this role requires excellent audio typing skills with a touch typing speed of over 65wpm*). Salary up to £24,000 per annum plus great company benefits. The role is due to start no later than Monday 7th September (ideally with some handover time the week prior to this). We are looking for a professional, articulate and highly organised person who is able to work well to deadlines, cope with high workloads and to be perceptive and adaptable to ever changing priorities.

**Current working arrangements: to facilitate social distancing and safe working, the two full-time receptionists in the reception team (of which this role will be one), are currently doing alternate weeks (one week based in the office, then the following week working from home). In due course, this role will revert to full-time office based**

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shared typing for the firm’s consultants, mainly client letters and reports, predominantly audio typing (this can be up to 80% of the role). It’s essential that this work is produced accurately, to a high standard

• Greeting clients and visitors to the office, offering refreshments etc.

• Answering all telephone calls using a simple phone manager system

• Ensuring all calls are dealt with in a pleasant and efficient manner and transferred through to the correct person or messages taken and sent by email, if required

• Dealing with incoming post (sorting, date stamping and distributing). Also dealing with the outgoing post (franking etc)

• Ordering of stationery (and tracking supplies), coffee, kitchen supplies/grocery orders, office flowers, cleaning supplies and any other ad hoc requirements for the office

• Dealing with cleaners and carpet cleaning requirements

• Dealing with recycling and off-site file storage

• Being point of contact with regard to office equipment such as photocopiers and printers, and reporting any faults that need to be looked into

• Dealing with plumbers, electricians and any other general maintenance requirements for the office

KEY REQUIREMENT

• Typing speed required of 65WPM+

HOURS

9-5.30 Mon-Thurs

8.30- 5 Fridays

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Thorough knowledge of Word, Microsoft Outlook, internet

• Knowledge of Excel

• Some experience within the financial services sector would be preferred
